The main topics of the Conference will be: freedom of expression and information in times of crisis; cultural diversity and media pluralism in times of globalisation and human rights and regulation of the media and new communication services in the information society.The CDMM would like to invite non-governmental organisations working in the media field in Europe and other interested persons to submit their ideas and proposals as regards these future activities. The proposals should not exceed 2 pages and should be sent to the Media Division, in English or French, by 31 August 2004 (mailto:media@coe.int).
